my 2016 goal sheet + a FREE printable

I'm not a person that's ever kept a New Year's resolution. I don't believe in a "word of the year," or other dramatic life change starting January 1. I like to think of every day as a chance to start fresh, not just the first day of a calendar year, but when I came upon this post by a fellow blogger and real-life friend Lindsey of The Postman's Knock, I knew I had to embrace this idea of creating a goal sheet for the year.

In true Avery fashion, I kept this beauty whimsical, fun and colorable (is that a real word?).

I created the original on a beautifully thick piece of cold press watercolor paper. I decided instead of coloring in the entire thing, a more restrained approach of scattering bright colors here and there would be perfect.
The best part of creating a goal sheet is, first and foremost, preliminary note taking in which you outline everything that really motivates you.

Naturally several of these will fall by the wayside (since I've terrible follow-through with just about everything), but as of this post, I've really been on track with this list of goals for the year.

The download is just black and white--before I watercolored it, so you can do the fun part: the goal making and coloring! If you really want to get the most out of this, I suggest printing on 32 pound-or-more paper.

I also omitted the 2016 from the download, so one could potentially use this for monthly goals, semester goals and so on.
