holiday home tour | part 1

I've been so extremely busy with school lately that when I put up our Christmas tree, everything else was on hold. Yesterday, I cranked up the Amy Grant holiday Pandora station and added a few more holiday details to our festive farm house! I snapped some less-than-perfect iPhone pictures to share my holiday decor.

We're hosting 17 people at our house on Christmas day, so I want everything to be full of Christmas decor and really welcoming.

I love using these four small Christmas trees around the house. I found them tucked away in my flower shop several years ago. I love the great black pots they're in. Some people stick these outside their house on either side of the door, but the wind here has been crazy the past few days, so outdoor decorations just aren't happening this year.

This year I decided to switch up the decor on the top of the secretary. I added this fun brown/gold shimmering mesh and added a few ornaments and glittery sprigs throughout.

The lawyer and I also decorated gingerbread houses, so they're on display as well...

Another of my small Christmas trees and ceramic nativity propped up on our breakfast nook.

I always have the greenery atop the cabinets, but for Christmas, I added some glittery poinsettias and quite like the look. I may have to find some rust or burgundy sunflowers to add once I take the poinsettias down.
